August 1-9: I have not written for sometime! Lots has happened. The highlight would be that we went to visit Franks family in Nanaimo. It was a good trip. BC is so beautiful! Other things that happened was that Adam started taking his first steps. We had a wedding on August 6, it went pretty. We got back August 4, so it was pretty crazy. Here are lots of pictures.
August 10: Lots has happened today! I started by cleaning up a bit and the working on digging up potatoes. I have a lot now! Then I helped Frank make lunch. Then I cleaned the barn and the washroom to get ready for the wedding that will happen this weekend. Adam took two steps and Benjamin is standing on his own.
August 11: Item today started out as a pretty busy day we went to Kingston but before I had to go to Kingston there was a bunch of ducks in the freezer in the barn that my dad killed for us and he put them and he left them in the barn and so I had to go in and get them because we had a wedding couple that were supposed to show up on Thursday and I didn’t want the ducks to still be in the freezer so I had to do that and then I was supposed to pick up Joe to go to Kingston with them for 10 but he cancelled so it ended up going our whole family up going to Kingston and the babies had to go to the doctor for 11 so Frank to drop this off and the main purpose of going to the doctor was to get their weight checked because from nine months to 12 months they didn’t gain any weight so the doctor was a little concerned and at 14 months when they got way that today they actually gained a ton of weight and the doctor was congratulating me about how much weight they gained so everything was good Benjamin weighs about 11 kg now an atom weighs about 9.7 kg then after the doctor we did a bunch of errands in Kingston we got back around 4 PM and at that time the wedding couple was already here setting up for their wedding and we just gonna help them clean out the forest Sophia did a lot of the raking of the pinecones that they have a trail and like a ceremony area should really hard it’s awesome and then I did some branch cutting because they wanted like another go trail for the pride to get in sneak in through the back yeah that would keep it today and then we could’ve went to bed.
August 12: Today we were at home all day it’s certain is it kind of like a regular day Frank did some work on his bubble things and his schoolwork and I had the kids and we were outside we did some gardening it’s really really dry hasn’t rain for about two weeks everything‘s kind of starting the weather grass is turning all brown and hopefully it rains soon the gardens not doing so well yeah so the wedding couple was here they were kind of setting up all day.
August 13-16: We had the wedding of Sarah and Zack. It was an awesome wedding. So fun! They loved it too. They had a little boy - Nicklaus that loved Sophia and Alice and they played for days together. He was the ring bearer and they couldn’t start the wedding because they couldn’t find him. He was playing with Alice in her room. Me and my dad bartended. They drank a lot! Frank took care of the kids. The next day we had a family day. We took a walk and played video games. Lots of people cleaning up and Chet out the venue. Monday and Tuesday I went to the rental and Frank took care of the boys. I cleaned, mudded, and started renovating the stairs. Sophia and Alice started sailing lessons this week. They seem to like it.
August 17: what a crazy emotional day! It started with me getting the girls ready for sailing in the morning. Frank drove them and then it was me and the boys at home. We are and napped (they napped) I gardened and cleaned. I also cut Peters hair. He cried so much, because he wanted hair like Alice. I bribed him so much and he still cried, because it hurt? But he eventually got one and looks so cute. Frank and the girls came home at 5, we had dinner and Frank let me fly the new drone. Then I cleaned the barn. We also have chicks that started hatching today. There are 24 eggs and so far 6 hatched today.
August 18: Frank took the girls to camp today and stayed in Kingston, to work on the rental stairs. He stripped paint off with chemicals and took staples out so that I can sand them. I had a good day with Peter. We read books and hung out outside a lot. We did some gardening, well just weeds. It hasn’t rained in so long and things are drying up. I water a lot with the sprinkler. When Frank and the girls came home we cleaned the washrooms, for the wedding coming up and put the door into the universal washrooms.
August 19: Friday! I drove the girls to sailing, they were so tired! Lots of sleep this weekend. I came home after. Dustin and Shelly, and there kids came to visit. It was a nice short visit. We then went to Kingston. Also 2 chicks died:(. they hatched late and I left them in the incubator, and they died, I was really sad. We picked up the skids and shopped for a bit, mainly to get ready for a Sophia’s birthday party. Then we came home. I cleaned and put kids to bed and Frank put up Christmas lights in the barn.
August 20: Wedding Day! Sam and Andrew got married today. I was worried about the wedding because they seemed really particular about only getting 1/3 of the tops. I felt they thought we were trying to rip them off. However I was wrong. They were very kind, they had lots of older people come and it was so hot! The wedding ended at 11, it was a nice night. My dad was upset with them because of the tips. Frank hung out with the kids while I was bartending. He seemed to have fun too.
August 21: Sophias birthday party! It was stressful for me, it was raining and the couple was still cleaning the barn. I thought the party was going to be inside. So I woke up and started cleaning like crazy. The house was kind of clean by 1 pm. The kids arrived and it went pretty well. Sophia had Isabella, Reagan, and Olivia come from her class. Mary Clare and Angus and Joe came too. We played a scavenger hunt, then tie died shirts. Then they played capture the flag and some other games, while I drove to Brockville to get cake. We ate and then opened presents. It was a nice day and I think they had fun. At night, we watched a movie and had a water balloon fight.
August 22: Monday! We woke up and Frank and Sophia went to Kingston. Frank went to work on the rental stairs and Sophia went to sailing. I was at home with the other kids. It rained so much. I also didn’t have my stroller because I sent it away to be cleaned. We watched the iPad a lot. I really couldn’t do that much. I was also very tired because I didn’t sleep that much and the weekend was exhausting. I baked sourdough bread, it was pretty moist and runny, gotta use more flour, but the starter is working out! Finally. When Frank came home, he went to work on the universal with Peter. Then we had dinner and went to bed.
August 24-26: these days are different. I’m feeling like nothing is getting done, Frank is in his own world, and the kids are getting a bit much for me. I’m not feeling that excited about things, I hope it changes. Sophia is going to Sailing and Frank is taking her a he works on the stairs in the rental. We have put i. Almost 70 hours in this! I’m so frustrated, they look pretty much the same. One the white paint went on the backs, they really started to pop. Alice went with me on Friday. She helped me clean. We went to pick up Sophia and went back to school shopping at the mall. It was fun.
August 27: What a week! It has been very busy with the kids still being on summer break. On Saturday we had a wedding. It was Hayden and Preston. It was nice, they drank a lot! They had there own bartenders, so I had a night off. I was able to pack for our camping trip. Frank took some drone footage and we posted it on instagram. There were lots of views and so many people contacting us to come view the property! They had an amazing wedding they said.
August 28: Very stressful! We are suppose to go to Sandbanks today to start camping. We woke up and I cleaned the house. We went to church and then came home to clean up the barn. It was a mess. There were lots of cans and I started sorting them. I must have spent an hour doing it and left it in bags and then when I wasn’t looking they came and loaded up them up and took them! I was pretty upset. Frank said to let it go because our reputation is more important then those cans. We ended up leaving at 5pm, it was so busy. We got to Sandbanks and the sun just went down. We set up our tent in the dark, it was stressful with all the kids. Then we went to bed. The babies slept pretty well.
August 29: Today we hung out at the campsite. Then went swimming and to Picton. Swimming is so nice. The water was warm and beautiful. Sophia Alice and Peter love swimming. Well Peter is scared of big waves, so we stuck to shallow water. When Frank goes out he puts him on his shoulders. The babies slept in the stroller. When we went back it started to lightly rain and then it progressively got worse. We got in the car and went to Picton. Then we checked the weather and it looked really bad for rain, so we drove home and slept there. We left everything at the campsite. Here is a picture of Frank with camomile lotion on his legs. He walked through poison Ivy. I learned camping with two 1 year olds is really hard. They are constantly dirty. I also enjoyed our one on one time with the kids, even if it’s really short.
August 30: We were supposed to be camping, but it’s raining a lot and Frank has a meeting for work today, that he’d like to be there for face to face. We went to Kingston, and I waited 3 hours with the kids in the car for him. I couldn’t do much, because it was raining. Eventually I gave up and went to wait Inside SLC for him. Then we drove to Sandbanks and it was late, so we went to bed. The kids slept well.
August 31: We went swimming in the morning. It was really windy. The waves were so big. It was also cooler, fall is starting:(. The girls spent along time in the water with Frank and I hung out at the campsite with the boys, and went for walks. It was really nice. Then we went for a drive to the bird sanctuary. I went for a walk with the girls and the boys slept in the car with Frank. Frank flew the drone while we walked. He was being crazy and it hit the water and sunk. We spent a long time looking for it and couldn’t. He was pretty.
