November 1: All Saints Day! All went to school, except Alice, she was home sick with me today. She had a high fever. We hung out, it was fun. I didn’t do any painting because it was really wet outside. It is warm though, for November! It was almost plus 20. I started doing our 2021 taxes. At night, I was feeling a bit sick, but, I didn’t want to stay at home with four kids because had low energy. Frank did and so took Sophia to dance. We went to Costco and out for dinner, it was really nice.
November 2: Everyone went to school today! It was just me and the babies, it was a regular day, I haven’t had this day in almost two weeks, was nice. It was also a beautiful weather day, plus 20 and sunny. The fence was wet, so I couldn’t paint it. I did paint the trim around the workshop windows, so Frank can put up the windows that I made. I also worked on my garden today. In the evening, Frank took SAP to skating lessons. I made homemade Boursh. The girls started a tutoring program at school, to help them read better.
November 3: Today was suppose to be a working day, but Alice was sick at home. It was okay though because she slept alot. I cleaned up the house and then painted the fence, and workshop window frame trim. It is so warm for November! It gets to plus 20 during the day.
November 4: Strike day! The school is closed today because the teachers are on strike. Frank went to work and I had all the kids. We had a great time. We played cards and read books. Sophia had a list of work from her teacher, Alice played, and Peter slept a lot because he was so sick. He fell asleep at the table. I had time to work on the fence a bit. The girls made a fort on the treadmill while I was working. Frank came home later because he had to cut grass at the rental. I made dinner and started our 2021 taxes, then we went to bed.
November 5: This morning we woke up and had pancakes for breakfast. Jimmy and Lyn came to visit. It was nice to see people! Especially Lyn, I really like her and miss her. We hung out with there kids, they have cute kids. Peter fell asleep and didn’t want to hang with us, he still kind of sick. He didn’t want to sleep on his bed because it was too warm?? Franks dad came and said that coming to our home was like camping, I didn’t like that comment. It is my home. Then I took the babies and went to an interview for a daycare. I loved it there so much and the lady, I really hope it all works out and they can go to her place, it would make returning to work so much smoother. Frank put in my windows that I made and got the washer and dryer changed out. Alice fell on her bike and Peter is so sweet and hugging her to try to cheer her up. It is very warm today, 20s!
November 6-8:
November 9: Todays highlight was that I got called from the school, that Peter wasn’t feeling well. So I came a picked him up, he was sleeping in the principals arms when I arrived, it was so cute 🥰. In the evening the girls went to skating lessons and Frank lost his wallet.
November 10: Peter was still sick and at home with me today. We hung out and did lots of puzzles and games. Then we painted a section of the fence and got the girls. We didn’t do that much in the event because I started feeling sick too. My tummy hurt, I think it was from the sourdough bread I made.
November 11: Today all the kids went to school! I was going to do a lot of work, but I was sick. My tummy hurt a lot. I brought the babies to the doctors because they had a concern for Adams weight and Bens head circumference. They took the measurements and all seemed okay again. Adam is just so small - 3rd percentile for weight:(. He is taller then Ben though. Then I napped with them, was so nice. Later at night when all were home we didn’t do much, we played a board game and the girls were making something in there rooms, top secret! Here are some pictures from Peter and Alice’s teachers.
November 12 - 21: These days I have not written for a while! The days are pretty routine. Frank and SAP go to school. The odd times one of kids, usually Peter, is at home sick with me. He had a sore ear this weekend, so he is at home now. We have been slowly winterizing, especially the washrooms. The temperature dropped really fast. I had to stop doing work outside because there is snow now! It went from unseasonably high temperatures to unseasonably low temperatures. We put winter tires on my car. Here is my view today, here are more shots of the kids, and some from their teachers. We hope to now finish the work outside and more to work on our home! I have been making signs for around the property. I also started to go to playgroups with the twins. Adam is pretty scared but Benjamin is quite social. Here is a video I made for Happy Life Farms.
November 22-24: Tuesday-Thursday. Life is pretty routine. Frank goes to work and kids go to school. Since the snow is melting, I think I can finish getting my garden ready for next Spring. I went to play group with the babies. Adam is always really scared to explore, and Benjamin isn't. They do seem to like all the toys there. Shopping with the babies is hard because they do not like being in the cart and they always trying to get out. On Tuesday I went to dance with the girls. Then on Wednesday the girls went to tutoring for reading and then skating(Peter went too). He doesn’t try! I don’t know why. The coaches have to hold him up almost the whole time. Thursday I went to a Prescott to get toy tents and tunnels for the babies. They didn’t seem to like it that much, the other children love it though.
November 25; PA day…All the kids were at home, except for Sophia, she went to school with Frank. First we made a puzzle, it was nice to see how focused Peter and Alice were. Then we went outside, it was nice. When we went inside I went for a run, while to babies slept. Then we had lunch and made dinner. When Frank came home home he started prepping for woodwork on the weekend.
November 26: Saturday. Today was a working day! Frank worked very hard around the house. I took the kids. We made puzzles, went for walks, and Sophia got a children’s cookbook. She loved it, and it also gave her something to do. We didn’t have a lot of the ingredients, so she made me a list of what to buy, so she can make it. I’m happy she’s into something. Frank made window frames and something for his bubble rig. I have to stain it. I took an hour and half to clean the elliptical-machine, to get it ready to sell. When I wanted to plug it in to take pictures, it didn’t work. I was retry upset. It sat in the garage a few months, why isn’t it working!! That night we played Mario Kart, I won!!!
November 27: Sunday. We went to church today. Then we went to home hardware to do some returns. Then we to McKinnon brothers brewery for the Christmas market. It was ok. It rained and was cold, which made a difference. The kids each got to pick one thing and we got to decorate cookies. I think the kids had a good time. When we got home Peter started making a 100 piece puzzle; it took him two hours to make, but he was so focused the entire time, he did it! Alice made some ribbons for winner of Mario Kart game. Sophia made sea glass candy from her new children’s cookbook. The twins just played. Frank did some signs and window frames in the workshop. And before bed we played Mario Kart, it was fun. Frank won this time.
November 28: Today the kids went to school and Frank went to work. Was a nice break from the three day weekend. I mainly just cleaned up and did laundry. I also started muding in Peters room. It is starting to get cold. Frank is pretty stressed at school, he wants to get a project out to his students and needs lots of time.
November 29: I didn’t go to playgroup today. The babies are pretty sick :(. A cold. We stayed at home and had a great day. We worked on Peters room, made signs, and lots of laundry. When the babies nap I am super busy with all the work and my run. I stopped snacking after dinner time, it’s really hard, but I want to be healthier. I hope to get back into good shape by the time I go back to work. In the evening Frank stayed at home and I went to dance with the girls. We bought some food for Alice’s birthday party.
November 30: Frank is really stressed. The kids are going to school regularly. They seem to be doing really well. The teachers for the girls keep saying that they need to work on their reading. On Wednesdays they get tutoring through their school to get extra help. I wish I had more time to read with them. Peter is actually already sounding words out, I think he will start reading soon too…he’s only 4, but maybe that is normal. They are all good in Math. I made advent calendars for the kids, everyday, they get one present. I had to wrap 72 presents! Next year it’ll be 120! Frank asked if I made one for him too…😡 Here is a video of Adam being a little monkey and Peter entertaining the boys when I was cooking.
