November 1-5: We started off from recovery from Hallowe’en, so much candy! I went to Ottawa for work and got some good doughnuts. The girls continue to go to skating. Frank is happy to be back at work. He is working hard to finish a paper for Dr. Pollard, because he is scared that he will die. Frank is working on the electrical and I am staining the bench during the week. On the weekend we were busy, Frank and Tom Steacy ripped up the back, because he is putting in a secondary septic field. We will finally stop dumping our wastewater from the sink and washing machine on our front lawn, it will go into the septic. It needs to be done, so that we can dig up a trench in the front, to upgrade our electrical system. A and B go to daycare, I think they seem to like it, they don’t talk very much. A is very loving and sweet and B is mysterious. Peter goes skating on Tuesdays and gymnastics on Saturdays (with Babi) he is learning to be a good boy, no screaming, hitting, spitting, or kicking others!! He stood up to a bully that was asking him to do that, we are proud of him. Sophia continues to learn to cook and works hard, does enjoy playing video games and watching lab rats. Alice has a great imagination and also works hard.
November 6-16: This month we are trying to get work done around the house. Slowly, as usual. The kids have skating 3 days a week – well Sophia and Alice. They both are doing well. Alice really loves to skate, and Sophia does too. She got her level 5, so she is excited she doesn’t have to wear a helmet anymore. Alice is almost done her level 6. Peter is skating one day a week; he seems to like it too. While Sophia and Alice skate, we usually spend time together. It’s nice, we started to bring books and he is reading, as much as he can to me. Peter also goes with Babi, on Saturdays, to gymnastics. He doesn’t talk much about it, but, I think he enjoys the one on one time with Babi. She usually cooks him lunch and does some sort of activity with him – like painting or Lego.
A and B are so busy. They had a doctor’s appointment. Frank brought them in, and then left because he had to teach. It was hard to walk with them back to car. Because they either want to be carried, but I can’t really carry both anymore at the same time, or they don’t want to walk and will just lie on the ground. They don’t talk, so I can’t really try to convince them to come. It took a while; I am always relieved when they are both buckled up in their car seats. I tried to go to Costco with them, it was good for 10min, then I had to hurry to the cash because they wanted to get out of the cart and run around and if I put them back in the cart, they screamed at me.
On the weekend, Frank buried the septic that he made, and it is messy. He’s happy it’s done, and he dug up the front, for me to mortar the house, before the trench for the electrical is dug. It’s getting cold, so hopefully no snow until December.
I went to Toronto, it was so nice….I do miss my family and it was hard on Frank, my mom helped a bit. I went for training, for work. I left Monday night and spent a night ALONE! It was weird, I slept a lot and got to take care of myself.
November 17-30: The ever busy life continues. As much as we hoped for less hectic life when the weddings came off our plates, we quickly filled it with our continuing home Reno’s. I finished over a few wends, mortaring the bottom of the house. It is getting cold! Frank moved dirt because the septic made such a mess. We had the septic pumped, now it’s ready for our water from our sink to be cut over into it. No more sink water on the front lawn! It did smell in the summer time. Frank just has to finish up the ABS in the basement.
November 29: both Frank and I worked all day. I cleaned the house and packed to leave for a four day trip to Niagara Falls for work/and pleasure. I had a one day meeting and then we went to the water park for two days. It snowed and we don’t have our winter tires on, Frank couldn’t stop and he hit a stop sign, drove right over it. So we put the tires on and drove to Niagara Falls, we got in at mid night. The meeting was fun, it was nice to party with my coworkers, Frank had the kids all day, in the hotel room seems like they had a lot of fun too. The rest of the trip I’ll talk about in December.
I bought an art book and the kids enjoy doing art so much. Every weekend we try to do a project. Alice is advancing quickly in skating, she got to Star 1! And is so in love with the sport and can’t wait for skating. Sophia is one level behind, I think she likes it, but I really think she should be in a team sport-next year we are going to try for hockey or soccer in January. Sophia loves to bake! She makes pies and cakes all the time, she is so awesome. Adam cuddles so much. If I don’t spoon him, he won’t sleep. Benjamin still has a soother, but they only last a few days, because he turns it sideways in his mouth and bites the end off.
